2011 Mini Paceman Concept
A new design concept MINI will make its debut at the 2011 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), to be held between January 10 and 23, 2011. The paceman MINI Concept is the first Sports Activity Coupe in the premium small market.

The MINI Concept paceman study establishes a new category of car MINI fundamental combine DNA – the dynamic capability, individual design – and give them a fresh twist with the help of technology and an innovative body concept. The paceman MINI MINI combines the classic concept, with the defining characteristics of the Mini Countryman and the style of a coupe. The result is a MINI with visual design tips “muscle car”, showing its dynamic ability from every angle.

Although no decision has been made on a production version in the future, paceman could form another building block in the development of the MINI brand.

“It’s exactly ten years since the new MINI was launched to the U.S. market so there is a symmetry pleased to introduce a totally new concept in Detroit,” said Jochen Goller, BMW MINI Director of UK Ltd. “After the release of Last year the Mini Countryman and the future releases of MINI Coupe and Roadster, the MINI Concept paceman again reveals not only the innovative spirit of adventure among its design team, but also the potential magnitude of the MINI brand as it grows and develops. ”

The MINI Concept MINI paceman keeps the family household frontal appearance, but adds a distinctive flavor. Large headlamps with chrome rims extend deeply into the front wings and, together with the hood contours clearly emphasize the paceman’s imposing nose. A new interpretation of the classic coupe design has given the paceman MINI Concept Coupé a distinctive tail that complements the athletic character of the car.
