Just today, Honda announced production cuts that will include a two month slowdown at its second plant in Alliston, Ontario, however the automaker is saying no workers will be affected.

Honda Canada spokesman Richard Jacobs says the plant will eliminate the second shift at the plant until the end of March but workers will be redeployed to Honda's other assembly plant or its new engine plant, which are both in Alliston.

The slowdown will reduce production by 9,000 units and will include non-production Fridays in February, during which workers can engage in paid training or maintenance.
